Josephine was born in a suburb of Adelaide in South Australia. In 1987, she married Leo. They had two daughters while living in the city before moving to an eighty-acre property in the Adelaide Hills, where they had their 3rd daughter.
After pursuing many interests, Josephine discovered a talent and passion for songwriting. She began performing in the Adelaide Music Industry as an Artist. It was after she released her first album that her despair for life was great, and she cried out to know the meaning of life. Targeted by evil and taken to the point of death, Jesus radically delivered Josephine from demon-possession and changed her life.
In November 2005, Josephine toured from New York to Los Angeles with a band, performing songs from her new album, “Leaving this Room,” an album about her new life in Jesus. At each venue, Josephine gave testimony to the miraculous things Jesus did that led to her deliverance. The tour was called “Freedom in Christ.”
Josephine developed a passion for God’s Word and for speaking the truth she had learned. For the next four years, Josephine continued to study God’s Word, write and record music and giving testimony at the venues where she played. She was asked to speak at various prayer retreats and conferences. Leo and Josephine began a small house church, where Leo started to teach God’s Word, and Josephine lead corporate worship.
In 2008, Jesus said, “Go!” Josephine and Leo sold their beloved property in the Adelaide Hills. They left with their three daughters on a one-way ticket to Southern California, where they reside today.
Since moving to the United States, Josephine continues to grow and teach God’s Word, and write and record worship music. She has led Conferences in Soroti, Uganda and Cap-Haitian, Haiti, teaching women and leading worship, sharing her music for Christ. Jesus has also called her to write a book about her deliverance.
In 2012, her husband Leo completed the School of Ministry program at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, and in 2014 went on to finish the Graduate Program. Leo and Josephine ran a house fellowship for a time, where Leo taught God’s Word, and Josephine led worship with their daughter Emily, who plays the djembe.
When traveling to Soroti, Uganda, Leo teaches in the Calvary Chapel School of Ministry. When in Cap-Haitian, Josephine and Leo led a Marriage Conference together, and later a Men’s and Women’s Conference.
Josephine remains passionate about the truth with the desire for believers to come to maturity in their knowledge of Jesus Christ and God’s Word. Recently, Jesus has also asked Josephine to use her love for pottery and this craft to explain the relationship between God the Potter, and people His clay. God is the creator, and we the work of His great hands. It’s an exciting journey, and one Josephine feels privileged to share.
