Fine Wine
(2023)
About the Album Fine Wine
Fine Wine is a collection of songs Josephine wrote a while ago, except for “Good For Your Soul” and “Jesus Has Won.”She wrote these while recording the actual album. Fine Wine is what Jesus came to do in us – to present us to the Father, spotless on the Day of Salvation. All else pales in importance, and this album keeps us focused on this ultimate, grand goal in Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior of our souls.
Rejoice – EP
(2020)
About the EP – Rejoice!
Singer-songwriter, Independent Musician, and Artist released Rejoice for Haitian women with a Bible study she wrote for them. The seagull flying with arms outstretched on the cover symbolizes our freedom and joy in Jesus Christ. Josephine has been to this country twice! The first time she led a Marriage Conference with her husband, Leo, in 2015. And the second in 2017 to lead her three-day Women’s Conference teaching through the book of Ruth and the promises of Jesus in Matthew. She has seen their poverty and hardships. In 2019, a Pastor’s wife asked Josephine to write and send a Bible study for a group of women in Haiti, which she did on the book of Philippians, along with the recording of these songs. They are recorded with few instruments, hoping to encourage them to praise the Lord Jesus with what they have. Stripped-down worship is just as meaningful to the Lord Jesus in celebrating His power and victory as any other. It’s no coincidence that this happened right before the current unrest and war in Haiti, and what a book to prepare these woman for their current suffering and hardships. Please pray for them – thank you.
Rejoice is only available on Josephine’s Free App.

Great and Merciful God
(2021)
About the Single Great and Merciful God
Great and Merciful God is one of the first songs Josephine Mary Schmidt wrote after Jesus Christ delivered her from demon-possession. God is truly merciful, and this song represents what Christ Jesus did for Josephine, “You never leave me helplessly calling, Your’e a merciful God, such a merciful God” and His love to save unconditionally from injustices and trickery that are way beyond our power to redeem ourselves from.
Keep Believing
(2021)
About the Single Keep Believing
Leo and I love to drive to the desert near Palm Springs in California to pray. The countryside and landscape are so barren it reminds me of when Jesus met with the Devil in the desert to overcome his tactics and ability. Satan can easily deceive humans, and he does it to destroy us and keep us on the path of unbelief. We must keep believing in Jesus Christ, the power to defeat everything against our soul. This belief isn’t some fantasy, some short-lived thing. But a lifetime of perseverance with Jesus, and I hope this song helps you and reminds you of our race.
Futility Freedom
(2021)
About the Cover and Photo – Futility Freedom
I took this photograph out of an airplane window as Leo, and I returned to San Diego after traveling. We landed at night, and it reminded me of the futility of life we endure before knowing Jesus – always laboring to find a good life of safety, fulfillment, love, and happiness, but with no hope after we die. Nothing we do here on earth can reap us eternal life. And the Devil is roaring around like a lion, fiercely trying to keep the message of hope away from us of Jesus Christ!
About the Futility Freedom – Single
I wrote the chorus to Futility Freedom in the studio and left it for years. In 2021, Jesus repeatedly brought it to my mind; He would cease, and I knew it meant I was to finish this song and release it. I set up a microphone, played the music I had arranged around the chorus, and sang whatever the Lord put on my heart to sing – and out came the rest of the lyrics and verses in this song, Futility Freedom. The gospel screams out from these words a message of hope the Devil does not want people to hear and believe – “But his roar just isn’t as loud as the cry of the message of hope!” A message and a hope God wants us as believers not to be afraid or ashamed to shout from our rooftops!
You Lead Me (Psalm 23)
(2019)
You Lead Me (Psalm 23) – Description:
Josephine put this beloved Psalm 23 to music and released it as a single, adding extra lyrics at the end to represent this Psalm in the 21st Century. The gospel has revealed the name of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
“Blessed is the one who trusts in the name of the Lord
Blessed is the one who walks by His spirit and not by their flesh
Blessed is the one who prays and praises our Lord Jesus“
A Soul’s Worth
(2014)
A Soul’s Worth – Album Description:
What a collection of songs and Psalms with so many stories wrapped up in them, all centered around a person’s soul’s worth measured by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. A Soul’s Worth is a passionate embrace of Jesus’ love.
A drop of blood on the album cover represents the suffering and intense love of a Savior, for God died for the sins of the world to save the souls of people and demonstrate how much a soul is worth.
Stay Free
(2013)
Stay Free – Cover Explanation:
The strong redwood sequoia tree, probably hundreds of years old, represents the life of a believer rooted in Jesus Christ and the truth He first taught us when we first believed in the truth of the gospel and not be moved away from it. It is the way to stay free. I recall when Jesus led me to Galatians 3:3 – “After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?” when a Lutheran minister was disclaiming my testimony and what he had seen, the miracles Jesus had performed and my deliverance from demons. It was a tough time, and it was when I realized the way to stay free and not be swept away by darkness again and caught in death! It is why I put this tree on the cover of the Stay Free album.
Stay Free – Album Description:
The title song of the album Stay Free was written in South Australia but later recorded in San Diego, California. What it represents is just as relevant every day. The song’s birth came from great opposition by a minister who had helped Josephine when Jesus was miraculously rescuing and delivering her from demon captivity through the trickery and witchcraft of a satanic cult. (You can read more about it at Josephine’s About Page.) And now, a year later, this man wanted Josephine to forget the truth of Jesus’ rescue and what He had taught to hold onto his religious training and ministry as a Lutheran minister. The song Stay Free, and the album represent life in Christ that we must all cling to until the end. “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 NLT.
Nothing Less than All of My Heart
(2007)
Nothings Less than All of My Heart: About the Album
I recorded these songs back in my studio in Australia. Leo and I lived on a property in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. We made a studio consisting of mud brick walls and old installation fiberglass that no one wanted previously used to insulate hospital equipment rooms. It had excellent sound deadening qualities for good sound recordings. I miss that studio. But when Jesus asked us to leave, my studio computer actually blew up! It was a shock, but it was time to move on and follow the will of the Lord by moving countries, uprooting myself from everything, and starting again! The voltage is different between the countries, so with my computer blowing up, it was like the Lord Jesus saying, “Don’t look back!”
Leaving This Room
(2005)
Album Cover: Leaving This Room
On the cover is the door to my home in Adelaide, Australia, where Leo and I lived on our 80-acre property. We always kept it locked and never used it, but rather, another door that led into our kitchen. When Jesus redeemed me and took me out of demon-possession, it was fitting to feature it. For Jesus is the key, His name and who He is, that unlocks the door and frees us from the slavery of the Devil. Satan keeps us blind and ignorant, stopping our minds from understanding that Jesus is the exact image of our Heavenly Father in human flesh, sent from above to break our chains and free the prisoners and those kept in his captivity. The door on the cover of Leaving this Room is now open – representing the freedom I have found. And the photograph of clouds and the sun, Christ, my loving Heavenly Father, who sent His Son to redeem and make us His children.
About the Album and Song:
For a long time, I thought the pain in my heart and the disconnect I felt with others and the world around me was caused by my mother’s hatred and, cruel words and anger towards me. I never understood it growing up, and it left scars I could not heal or replace. It was not until Jesus Christ redeemed my life that I realized I had been caught in a room of trickery and untruth that Satan, the Devil, is responsible for entrapping us in. It does not matter how hard we try to find that key to open the door; we cannot heal ourselves from our past pain and hurts. And we cannot know God and the freedom He offers through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the key that unlocks the door and allows us to leave this room, and that is why I named this album after my deliverance from demons by my Lord.
