A Story of Deliverance, Redemption, and a New Song

My journey into music began in a season of intense spiritual warfare. The enemy tried to use my passion for singing and songwriting to destroy me, bringing a deceptive music manager into my life who used manipulation and darkness to lead me into great darkness and, finally, demon possession.

I thought I would never sing or write songs again when Jesus was delivering me, because it was through this gift I had almost been murdered. I had trusted this man like a father, but when I became demon possessed, I suddenly became aware of how utterly wrong I had been. I had never wanted anything to do with magic or witchcraft, yet I found myself trapped in that deception.

One night, I cried out in my bedroom to know the meaning of life. I wanted to understand why true love and happiness were so hard to have. My soul had cried out to know the truth. And that’s why the devil came to destroy me—to keep me from understanding the truth. He comes to kill, steal, and destroy. But Jesus comes to give us life and to have it in abundance—John 10:10.

When Jesus was teaching me His gospel and setting me free from demon possession, I promised Him I would never play my guitar again. I threw all my music away, keeping just one copy of my album, Instinct, to remind me of how foolish I had been.

But Jesus had a different plan. As a new believer, He told me He wanted me to sing because it made Him happy. He showed me that He always intended for me to play the piano and guitar and write new songs to declare His victory.

Today, God has made me His singer-songwriter and music producer. He has given me a new song of grace, goodness, and mercy to produce in my studio for others to hear. Jesus is the victorious power over the devil, demonic possession, and magic—I have a new song to sing, and I am not afraid to sing it.
