Growing in Christ | Centered on Jesus
The first time I went to Uganda to teach the women in Soroti, Jesus used my own pottery to speak to me. He showed me; I was like one of my pottery bowls. It had the purpose of being filled with food to feed people. This was why the Lord Jesus was sending me to Uganda, filled with the knowledge of His Word to teach and feed the women there. I couldn’t back down or not pour myself into doing the very best job I could, feeling these precious souls whom the Lord loved!

I think about our households, our homes, and how we are to be bowls full of the things we now are true, God’s Word, and lessons about Christ and the life that will lead to eternal life! I realize many people at times don’t appreciate the food we have on offer. They want a different menu. Even a different chef! But it doesn’t mean our food is bad or stale or out of date. It simply means they have yet to taste that the Lord is good and pleasing to their mouths.

These women were hungry, whom I fed in Soroti, Uganda! They became so full of the Lord, rejoicing and singing with me, making a joyful sound to the Lord Jesus! They wanted to fill themselves up with as much food as they could get. It reminds me of 1 Peter 2:2-3:
“Like newborn babies,
– 1 Peter 2:2-3
crave pure spiritual milk,
so that by it you may grow up
in your salvation,
now that you have tasted
that the Lord is good.”
So, I encourage you—be food for the Lord for others. We are the most nutritious and highly valued meal on any menu! It’s the food that feeds and restores the soul and leads to an eternity with the Lord Jesus. Christ saved us by dying on the cross to set us free from the things this world cannot save us from.
