“Come Lord Jesus Come” Single

I love singing this song because it sings of the victory of Jesus Christ and of His return. It is when Jesus will call us up and out of this world, commonly known as the Rapture—all His faithful and true believers—and take the scroll and open its seals of judgment. (Revelation 5:1-10.) Ultimately, God and our Lord Jesus Christ have always intended to destroy this earth and everything that defiles, bringing a new heaven and a new earth where only His righteousness dwells. Yet, do few have spiritual awareness?

Last night, there was a huge public event in our street and in our neighborhood. I doubt it was legal, and they didn’t have the required permits to hold such a public and advertised event, drawing large crowds into our residential zoned location. People lined up from their front door, past our house and our neighbors’ homes, and down the street.

We couldn’t even drive out of our house without asking this line to part. Cars were parked everywhere. The neighborhood was crammed full of people and cars. It would have been impossible for an ambulance to get through quickly if someone was in urgent need of help.

Were These People Ready for Jesus?

Why all these people and cars? They had come for a Halloween horror show in this person’s home? It isn’t even Halloween yet. It is still a week away and next weekend. Yet hundreds still came because they were not thinking about the Lord Jesus Christ or His promised return and the rapture. The rapture that could happen at any moment when Jesus takes His faithful and true out of this world and brings us safely to the throne room of God before He opens the seals of destruction and judgment upon this earth. These people had come for this thrill, this expectation to be frightened and horrified by this show, which includes a chainsaw and giving glory to evil.

When Leo and I tried to drive through the people to get back to our house and to our front door with the sign, “Thank you, Jesus,” on the lawn. I saw babies in prams, grandmothers, and young children lined up to see this horror show. But it’s not just a show. It is deception. There is a very real force underneath. Satan is dressed like a sheep. But underneath that clothing and disguise is a wolf. He is very real, with his army of wicked spiritual forces that are watching everyone to keep those he can blind and deceive from the truth of Christ and salvation.

Spiritual Awareness and the Reality Behind this Crowd?

Leo and I don’t celebrate Halloween or have anything to do with it. I used to evangelize the people who came to our door when I first came to this country. But I don’t anymore.

These people in the line outside our house and down the street don’t have their minds in the heavens. Their hearts are not thinking about the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ is on hold, on pause button, or forgotten. The flesh is their master. And the flesh has utterly no defense against the Devil, Satan, and his demons. These words might seem strong. But they are for warning and redemption, for people to flee the line of ignorance and blindness! And put their “thank you, Jesus” sign outside their heart for all to see!

Jesus Christ is the Word of life that leads to eternal life. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And I fear keeping many in the line and on the road to death that Jesus said many are on.

We must never allow Satan into our hearts and convince us that horror and the glory of evil are OK.

We must be wiser than those lining up to glorify something Jesus saved us from. The world is ignorant. But those in the arms of Christ are not! Make a stand, get out of the line, and don’t partake in something that has no place for the Lord’s people. We celebrate Jesus’s victory and sing, “Come Lord Jesus Come,” and are longing for His return and keep this song in our hearts.
